Isabelle Redford is a special seven-year old girl. Head over to You Tube and catch her story in a three minute clip produced by ABC and then come back here for a second.
Isn't Isabelle an inspiring young lady? She looks seven. Her voice sounds seven. Yet there is something about Isabelle that transcends your typical seven-year old. You can see it in her eyes and feel it in her voice. Her mom calls it compassion and I think that's where it starts. It then picks up with her artistic talents and continues on by light of a calmness, quiet confidence and determination. Her comments about playing with the girls in Haiti speaks volumes about her.
I hope Isabelle's mom can continue on with her amazing guidance and support without too much of the world's undesirable elements effecting Isabelle. I suspect we're going to continue to hear wonderful things from this special young lady.

Dave--thanks so much for bringing Isabelle to my attention.
There is no question that it is the people who are in my children's and Isabelle's generation who will save us. We--not us personally, Dave, but our cohorts--have really done a lousy job during our tenure as caretakers of the planet.
Old guys like me are greatly encouraged to see such a delightful spirit and nonchalant miracles as Isabelle demonstrates. You are exactly right: all one has to do is look in her eyes, and it is obvious this is a person who will perform magic as if it were nothing at all.
Pass the tissues, please. I have soaked my sleeves.

Thanks for weighing in Rick. You inspire me to be a better caretaker of these young spirits who will save us.
