I haven't been a good citizen of the world, a good steward of our home. I have let the busyness of business and life cloud out awareness, cloud out reason. I began to pay closer attention two years ago after reading the book World Changing a User's Guide for the 21st Century. And then I watched Al Gore's An Inconvenient Truth. I was beginning to get a toe hold but still had my head uncomfortably lodged in a certain part of my anatomy. Presently, I am reading Peter Senge's The Necessary Revolution.
One moment ago I was thinking I am getting closer. One millisecond later Grand Funk is singing "I'm getting closer to my home..." on the radio. A sign? You bet!
Sometimes in life we get ourselves right to the brink of something. Maybe it's a new job, career or relationship. And then something or someone comes along to give us the gentle nudge that we need. It might have happened to me yesterday...
A wizardly fellow rode into my life yesterday on a dragon. Following an insightful conversation I visited his Web site after being away for more moon rises than I care to remember. I discovered this:
