Username and Password Idea
I just signed up for Squidoo.
After sending back the e-mail confirmation I thought or rather sighed, "another username and password to keep track of." In one of those rare moments of brilliance that everyone of you reading this probably experienced eight years ago, I thought or rather proclaimed, "why don't I forward this e-mail confirmation to myself and make a note of my username and password in it?"
So I did :-) I really am a simpleton.
The beauty of G-mail is the Squidoo conversation thread will be easy to retrieve...forever.
I thought or rather typed, "life is good!"
Smile. Pass it on.
I created a gmail account that only handles my passwords and "into" emails. I never give it out, but I forward all such userid/password emails to the password account.
Yeah, I do tend to go overboard.

For all passwords of this type (e.g. "non-financial") I just add the site to my address book as a business and put my user name in the comments section. I use the same password for all of these sites, but I'm forced to use various permutations of my name as the user name. That's the one I have problems remembering.
