I read non fiction business and self-help books. I dove in and immersed myself in these types of books much as a reader would in romance novels. I looked to be swept from my feet like a disgruntled, middle-aged housewife looks for Brad Pitt to knock on her door asking her to accompany him on a six month tour of the South Pacific Islands. Pure fantasy. It was an escape from the day job-career from Hades.
"Errrrr, ladies, back to my discussion here please."
I've noticed since writing a few reviews here on older books in my collection that my thoughts about the content have changed. This is good! It's like finding new treasure.
A journey through my books is like a journey through my personal journals. I highlight text, pencil notes in the margin and date every entry. It is interesting to see how much I have or have not changed.
Go back and revisit some of your old books. Enjoy the treasure of new discovery.

Aloha Dave,
I think you'll like reading about my newer habits with getting folks to write in books along with me: take a look here - just wrote it up yesterday.

BTW ... the guy I used to imagine at my door was always MacGyver ... but getting there seemed to be the one thing he never figured out!

LOL!! Rosa. I had not seen your post. The universe must be ready for more folks to write in their books!

Dave, going back into older books is indeed good. You usually find something new each time you go back.
As for who would appear at my door in this fantasy challenge, any number of leading ladies come to mind but Diane Lane probably would be first.

That fantasy challenge might get some of us in trouble Steve :-)
